Shwetha Subramanya

I have an undergraduate degree in commerce (major in accounting) from Bangalore University, India. I also have a Diploma in Interior Designing from the Idea Worldwide Designing Institute, Bangalore, India.

I have more than 10 years of experience in the customer service industry including in the insurance, retail, and university sectors. Prior to working for Martin Luther University College (formerly Waterloo Lutheran Seminary), I worked at Walmart as a department manager.

I enjoy volunteering for social causes. From August 2010 to February 2011 I was an active member of the Yuva Global Foundation, a non-governmental organization that mobilizes students and young professionals to help underprivileged children in Bangalore, India. As an administrative assistant with the Social Planning Council of Kitchener-Waterloo, from October 2011 to May 2012, I helped organize social events. And since February 2013 I have been volunteering as a tutor with The Literacy Group of Waterloo Region.
