During the past 100+ years, we've educated thousands of students, formed hundreds of pastors, founded Wilfrid Laurier University and played an essential role in the establishment of the University of Waterloo. In short, we've served our community in countless ways.
And in that time, we've made many friends! (You might already be one of them.) We'd like to stay connected with you.
We know that different people prefer different ways of staying in touch. Of course, our social media accounts ( LinkedIn, Flickr, Twitter, and YouTube) are one way of letting you know what we're up to. Note: In an effort to live our institutional values, we have limited our use of Facebook and Instagram. For details, please click here.
We also share our news via:
- Luther e-newsletter. Beginning September 2022, the newsletter will be distributed as a weekly email. (To subscribe, please see details below.) Back issues are available for 2021 and 2020
- Luther Alumni News, a quarterly e-newsletter. Back issues are available for 2021, 2020, and 2019
- Donor Update, an occasional bulletin specifically for our donors
- Direct email, for anyone interested in upcoming events at Luther
To learn how to subscribe to our newsletters or email list, please see details in the sections below.

Rev. Dr. Kristine Lund introduces herself, via video, and says thanks to you for your ongoing support.
We are blessed with the support of our donors! And are so grateful for your help.
We want to share how much your support is helping us develop leaders, and followers, for the church and the world!
In 2019, we created Donor Update, an occasional bulletin specifically for our donors.
In our main foyer, we have hung a display (see image below) thanking all donors to the Reform Capital Campaign. When our completely renewed building reopened in 2018, we held a blessing and RCC donor appreciation event. Check out the photos on Flickr or the one-minute video on YouTube.
Please stay tuned: Recognition projects for all of our donors are in the works!
We also acknowledge our supporters on Luther's website, social media platforms and in our newsletters.

Luther's students, faculty and staff have received the generous support of our auxiliary since 1913.
By 2020, membership has dwindled to the point that the board took the difficult decision to disband. The group's continued support to Luther is outlined in the announcement letter.
Backstory
Two years after the school's opening, Ida Stahlschmidt spearheaded the formation of the new seminary's Women's Auxliliary. In the early years, members raised donations of money and goods to help sustain the students and faculty. Members delivered home-baked goods and regularly cleaned students' rooms, mended their socks and washed their laundry.
In the fall of 2018, the Women's Auxiliary changed its name to The Auxiliary of Martin Luther University College.
Archives
The Laurier Archives contains many of the auxiliary's historic records. For photos and digital scans of auxiliary brochures, feel free to search the online digital archive.
