Our General Graduate Studies (GGS) option allows you to complete a maximum of five half credit (0.5 credit) Luther courses without being enrolled in a degree program.
GGS students are admitted at the discretion of the Principal-Dean in consultation with the program coordinator.
Completing courses as a GGS student does not guarantee admission to any of our graduate programs.
GGS students can take courses from any of our Masters programs (with the exception of the TH664L Pre-Practicum, TH664M Practicum I and TH664Q Practicum II).
You may also enroll as a GGS student if you are pursuing Supervised Psychospiritual Education (SPE).
No more than two half-credit (0.5) courses taken as a GGS student may be transferred to our graduate programs.
The minimum academic requirement for admission is an Honours Bachelors degree with a minimum average of B (73-76%) in the last 10 half-credit courses.

A Luther Academic Advisor will confirm whether or not the courses are available, and advise you on moving forward with the application.

About three to five days after you have submitted your OUAC application, paid the non-refundable application fee, and Laurier has received your application, you'll receive an email from gradadmissions@wlu.ca advising you to upload the additional required documentation to Laurier’s Online Registration and Information System (LORIS).

References are not required for the General Graduate Studies application.
Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential to graduate studies at Laurier. Applicants whose language of instruction during their previous postsecondary education was not in English must submit evidence of proficiency in English. If applicable, results from accepted testing services must be uploaded to LORIS.
